The McGill University Symposium on Indigenous Cultures 2006 (MUSIC 2006)
uses the autumn solstice to represent balance-a time when day and night are
equal. At this time we console each other and greet each other with
friendship and sharing. MUSIC 2006 creates an opportunity to share
Indigenous Peoples' understanding of the indigenous world. The oral,
audio-visual, graphic-textual, and performative expression of indigenous
peoples' collective memory is presented through two days of MUSIC 2006.
