Henderson's Web Site Tom
Henderson has compiled this set of online physics tutorials. Aimed at high
school students, this website takes surfers on step-by-step tours through the
material. Topics include Newton's laws of motion, kinetics, wave functions, reflection
and refraction. A good example of the thorough work put into this site is the
lesson on Einstein's Special theory of Relativity. By simply clicking and reading
through the lesson, the user experiences a learning process in practice. The lessons
are completed by solving a test quiz, which is not too imposing and works well
as a lesson round-up. |

| Tutorials The
following Web site was developed by a math
and science teacher to support her students, their parents and tutors. It
is keyed to Quebec curriculum but contains a lot of basic physics information,
which I'm sure some of you could use in your classes. |

Design a Roller Coaster Try your hand at
designing roller coasters. Check out: http://www.learner.org/exhibits/parkphysics/
coaster/ to see what it's like to be an engineer! This interactive
web site allows you to design your own roller coaster using the same physics concepts
that are used to design real coasters. When you're done, your coaster
will need to pass an inspection for both safety and fun. Great site for
your students! |
