Systems engineers assist and support policy-making, planning, decision-making and associated resource allocation or action deployment. They study the interaction of science, organizations and the environment.
   
Examples

Systems engineers:
Work with clients to determine their precise needs
Give presentations on and demonstrations of products
Provide informal advice on what products might fulfill customer's needs
Write formal documents such as proposals
Assist salespeople with the creation and execution of an overall sales strategy for an account
